Cookies by Design
I normally would not post about a cookie shop, but this place took me by surprise. The other day, PK and I were going back to National Lumber to return some lumber. When we were a few blocks from the store, we spot Cookies by Design. Before I knew what was going on, I was in the shop and had already devoured a broken cookie sample. Since we had not eaten lunch yet, we decided that if we shared four cookies ($1 each), it would hold us over until we made it to Punjabi Dhaba. We left the shop with a Millionaire, a Peanut Butter Crunch, a Snickerdoodle, and one more that had chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. Damn, these were tasty. The Peanut Butter Crunch and Snickerdoodle stood out among the four, but all were very good.
Verdict: We both like cookies and we both really like Cookies by Design. Most of the cookies were soft, without being too soft. This is a place that I will not go out of the way for, but if I am in the area, I will definitely stop in and get a cookie for the road.
