Shiraz

April 24th, 2009

(sorry about the crappy photos…the food looked so much better in real life)

Based on a recommendation (so many months ago), from 3mote, PK & I decided to check out Shiraz for some Iranian food.  To start, they brought out some Barley Soup that was really tasty.  Since we knew that we would be getting a lot of food on our plates, we decided to skip the appetizers and head straight for the main course.  PK got the Lamb Kabob and I got the Chicken Sultani (combo of kubideh & barg).  I don’t remember how much each plate was, but I believe that they were both around $15/each.

Both were really delicious (as was the rice that covered each plate) . I don’t know what I liked best so, when you go, I suggest that you eat with friends who like sharing.

For desert, I was hoping that they had Faludeh, but  they didn’t.  (I haven’t had Faludeh in years so if anyone knows where to get one besides Lala Rokh, let me know.) We ended up sharing the Persian Ice Cream which was quite good.

Besides the delicious food, the service was also great.

Verdict: Delicious!
