Wonder Spice
Even though I only live a few blocks from Wonder Spice, I have only eaten there or taken
out a handful of times. I really do like the Hot Chili Fish (which is lightly fried; $13.95). If you are thinking of taking this dish to go, do not! It does not travel well at all (even if you are just going around the corner). Unfortunately, out of the dozen or so other main courses that I have tried at Wonder Spice, I have found them to be average.
However, over the summer, PK and I have found ourselves at Wonder Spice for their appetizers. There are three that we like most:
Saiki Aing Kroeung (grilled slices of beef marinated in garlic, lemongrass, and tamarind sauce, served with a peanut sauce; $5.95) . Sorry, no picture of this dish.
Nataing (crispy rice cake served with my new favorite dipping sauce which is made of tofu, chili sauce, coconut milk, garlic, and peanuts; $5.50).
Humble Shrimp (yeah, it is basic, but it is also delicious; $5.95)

Verdict: If you order just these four dishes, you will enjoy a very good meal. ![]()
