Angela’s Cafe
After reading and hearing about Angela’s Cafe for months, PK and I finally headed out to East Boston. It was early on a Saturday afternoon, and the small restaurant already had a good sized crowd.
I really wanted to try so much more than we ordered, but there was only two of us, so we had to restrain ourselves. We got the Sopa Azteca (Tortilla Soup; $3.95), Tinga Tostada (shredded beef; $3.50), Taco Arobe (Pork; $2.75), and the Chicken Mole Plate ($12.45).
All I can say is that this place lived up to its hype. All the food was outstanding. The Chicken Mole was by far the best dish that we ordered. I have never had a mole with so much flavor.
Next time I go back, I am going to try one of their Pipians if it is on their specials menu.
When you go to Angela’s make sure that you check out their specials board and that you also ask person who is waiting on you to let you know about their unlisted specials.
I just stumbled onto your website and am so glad I did. Your choices in restaurants are really all encompassing. All prices, all areas of the city, all cuisines.. I plan on referencing your site often. Thanks and happy eating!
oh, man, i really need to get back there for another visit!
Amy – Thanks for the compliment. I’m glad you like the site!
Andy – I find myself so lazy when it comes to going to East Boston, but Angela’s is so worth it!
