Dali

October 10th, 2006

Many people complain that Dali is overpriced and over-hyped. While I completely agree that they are overpriced (I am still pissed that for $9.50 all we got was one delicious quail), they do have the best tapas in the area.

PK and I started with the Codorniz de Castilla (broiled herb and garlic quail stuffed with bacon; $9.50), Vieiras al Azafrán (scallops in saffron cream; $7.50), and a Wild Boar plate that was on the specials list. All of these were delicious. However, my favorite plate was the last one we ordered, the Queso Rebozado con Miel (fried Spanish cheese with honey and sweet onion; $7.50).

Verdict: Although most of their dishes are overpriced, I really like Dali.

p.s. For some dumb reason, I cannot find the pictures from this meal. If I do locate them, I will post them later.

    Hey man,

    Willard here, your biggest fan.

Have you ever considered emailing or printing
your reviews for the restaurants you eat at –
    at least the good ones.

Then they can post them on their walls and
windows, and fans of cheap food everywhere
(well at least in the 617) can find out about
    your page as well.

But don’t ever sell out and change the reviews
    to please the restaurant owners.

Thanks For Keeping The Meals Real,
    W

I haven’t tried Toro yet. I have only heard good things about it though…
